To fully prepare for typhoon defense efforts, the company held a work deployment meeting on the evening of July 30 to address Typhoon No. 6 “Khanun.” The meeting was chaired by General Manager Xia Songkang, who outlined the required tasks, while Deputy General Managers Wang Junting and Shao Bin, along with relevant personnel from various departments and the fleet, attended the meeting.

The meeting pointed out that, given the typhoon’s intense strength and the concurrent occurrence of a spring tide, all departments must heighten their awareness and strictly adhere to the requirements of thoroughly identifying potential hazards, adequately preparing emergency supplies, and ensuring sufficient staffing for emergency response, thereby effectively implementing all typhoon prevention measures and emergency preparedness efforts. The meeting established the No. 6 Typhoon Prevention and Control Command Center, and each department delivered statements outlining their progress in carrying out typhoon prevention and control work.

General Manager Xia Songkang emphasized: First, we must attach great importance to this matter and resolutely overcome any potential complacency; second, we must put people first and ensure personal safety; third, we must broaden our thinking, strengthen preventive measures, and rely on technology to withstand typhoons; fourth, we must follow unified arrangements and ensure that responsibilities are fully implemented; and fifth, we must intensify inspections of shipyards and docks to guarantee the safety of non-powered vessels.
