On the afternoon of July 30, CEO Xia Songkang went to AP Dock with Vice President Wang Junting, Vice President Shao bin, and the heads of the Engineering Management Department and the Support Department to deploy, check and refine the work of typhoon prevention and resistance. They specifically focused on ensuring that the AP Dock supporting projects under construction were being implemented, as well as the anti-typhoon work at the dock and wharf.

Mr. Xia proposed six requirements for typhoon prevention work in AP Dock. First, the scattered pieces in construction area should be fixed effectively. Second, the staff needs to be evacuated to a secure location. Third, the temporary electricity used for infrastructure needs to be switch off, in order to prevent electrocution incidents. Fourth, the scaffolding has to be checked and reinforced further. Fifth, it is required to ensure that the drainage ditch is unblocked to prevent landslides. Sixth, all the board houses should be effectively fixed.
