Li Yanqing, Secretary-General of the China National Shipbuilding Industry Association, and his delegation paid a visit to our company for inspection and research.

On February 27, Li Yanqing, Secretary-General of the China Association for Industrial Development of Shipbuilding, and his delegation visited our company for an inspection and research visit, accompanied by General Manager Xia Songkang, Deputy General Manager Wang Junting, and others.

During the symposium, General Manager Xia Songkang briefly outlined the company’s development journey and shared the experiences and achievements the company has made in recent years in areas such as Party building leadership, ship structure adjustment, 8S management, the adoption of green ship repair concepts and initiatives, the implementation of resort-style ship repair, talent pipeline development, salary system reform, digital transformation, and public welfare endeavors. At the same time, General Manager Xia Songkang also exchanged views with Secretary-General Li Yanqing and his delegation on the challenges and uncertainties that XinYa has encountered in its development.

Secretary-General Li Yanqing and his delegation exchanged views on the challenges and concerns raised by General Manager Xia, and engaged in discussions on related research topics. Secretary-General Li Yanqing stated that the large-scale, cluster-based shipbuilding and ship repair industry chain unique to the Zhoushan region is unparalleled in China—and the ship repair expertise developed here and the remarkable ship repair stories that have unfolded can profoundly influence the global ship repair market. He expressed strong recognition and high praise for the outstanding achievements XinYa has made in restructuring its vessel portfolio, and he found the “resort-style ship repair” concept proposed by XinYa both refreshing and innovative. The China National Association of Shipbuilding Industry has always been deeply invested in XinYa’s development. We look forward to distilling the ship repair experience gained through practical operations—represented by your three major shipyards on Liuheng Island—into standardized written guidelines, formulating technical standards, and then sharing and promoting these best practices across the industry.

The research team conducted an on-site inspection of the Xinya plant area.
