Gathering Momentum for Transformation and Steadfastly Forging Ahead — The Company Holds Its 2022 Annual Summary and Awards Ceremony

The New Year ushers in the warmth of spring, and the Lantern Festival brings forth blossoms of joy. On the morning of February 6, the company’s No. 1 cafeteria was ablaze with colorful lights, as all employees gathered for the grand 2022 Annual Summary and Awards Ceremony. Chairman Zhou Yaguo, General Manager Xia Songkang, and Deputy General Managers He Fengen, Wang Junting, Zhou Boting, and Shao Bin attended the meeting.

Amid the resounding slogan “Be serious, be fast, honor your commitments, and never make excuses!”, the Xinya 2022 Annual Summary and Awards Ceremony officially kicked off.

The meeting began with Bao Manlan, Regional Manager at the Ministry of Commerce, sharing her personal business experiences and achievements for the year 2022. Fu Wei, representing the Operations Management Department, also shared how the Operations Management team in 2022 embodied the “Iron Army” spirit—working together in unity and selflessly dedicating themselves, embracing the ethos of “turning light drizzle into clear skies and moonlight into daylight.”

At the meeting, General Manager Xia Songkang delivered a work report titled “Gather Momentum and Empowerment to Embrace Transformation, Forge Ahead with Steadfast Endeavor on a New Journey, and Strive to Write a New Chapter of Green, High‑Quality Development for Xinya—The Past Decade We’ve Walked Together.” The report comprehensively summarized and reviewed, from eighteen different perspectives, the journey Xinya has taken over the past decade—from 2013 to 2022—along with the remarkable achievements and abundant fruits we have jointly attained. These past ten years have been a decade of rapid economic development for Xinya, a decade of transformative growth and profound change for Xinya, and above all, a momentous decade that marks a milestone in Xinya’s history.

General Manager Xia Songkang pointed out that, The decade we’ve shared has been a journey of pioneering and hard work, fraught with challenges every step of the way. Over the past decade, the company has worked tirelessly to improve and innovate, steadily advancing toward internationalization. It has gone from having nothing to building something, from building something good to achieving excellence, and from achieving excellence to becoming strong. Economic development has been rapidly changing, with substantial leaps in overall strength and economic power. We have achieved a series of groundbreaking advancements and a host of landmark results, composing a magnificent symphony for Xinya’s high‑quality, green ship repair development!

Looking ahead, our dreams set sail. 2023 marks the inaugural year for the company’s “Fifth Five-Year Plan,” serving as a pivotal bridge between past achievements and future aspirations. Standing at the dawn of the “Fifth Five-Year Plan” era, General Manager Xia emphasized that we must take that all-important first step and usher in a new era of vitality and dynamism. The conference honored outstanding individuals who made significant contributions to the LNG industry in 2022, the fourth “Most Beautiful Xinya People,” the 2022 Xinya Warriors, the pioneering team for internal coordination and construction management, as well as recipients of employee children’s scholarships—among other exemplary groups and individuals. Gold medals, certificates, and cash prizes were presented to each award recipient. The conference called on all employees to take these role models as their guide, continue to uphold the fine Xinya spirit, stay grounded in reality, make rapid progress with unwavering momentum, and stride forward with confidence toward the new journey outlined in the “Fifth Five-Year Plan.”
