To further strengthen the company’s capabilities in handling fires during the repair of hazardous chemical vessels, continuously reinforce the concept of safe production, enhance emergency fire response for LPG/LNG vessels, and elevate the safety awareness of all employees, on the morning of March 15, 2021, the company, in collaboration with the Liuheng Fire Station of Putuo District, Zhoushan City, organized a fire drill involving the LPG vessel “Shengshi Hexie.” Real‑time emergency rescue drill for firefighting in the event of a ship fire.
The “Shengshi Hexie” is an LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) tanker currently under construction. At 10:45 a.m., The engine room of the vessel “Shengshi Hexie,” docked at Pier 11, caught fire. After receiving the alarm, the company’s fire crew and… After the firefighters from the Liuheng Fire Station arrived at the scene, they strictly adhered to epidemic prevention and control requirements by setting up cordons at the rescue site and implementing on-site protective measures. Upon receiving the notification, the captain immediately cut off power to the engine room and sounded the alarm, directing all construction personnel on board to evacuate via the emergency exits to the designated emergency assembly point. To prevent the fire from spreading further, the on-site commander immediately ordered the firefighting team to deploy two water cannons from one side of the vessel, using them to suppress the blaze while simultaneously cooling and protecting the ship’s liquefied gas tanks. At the same time, rescue workers Under the cover of two water cannons, they boarded the vessel to rescue the trapped personnel. Twenty minutes later, all the trapped individuals had been rescued, the fire was brought under effective control, and the emergency rescue live‑action drill was successfully completed.
