On February 10, 2021, the grand hall of Canteen No. 1 shone with golden splendor, adorned with brightly hung lanterns. The 2020 Annual Summary and Awards Ceremony was solemnly held here, with all employees in attendance. Chairman Zhou Yaguo, General Manager Xia Songkang, and Deputy General Managers Zhou Boting, Shao Bin, He Feng’en, and Wang Juntin also attended the meeting.
Amid the Xinya slogan—“Be serious, work fast, honor your commitments, and never make excuses”—the meeting officially commenced.
The meeting began with an impassioned speech delivered by Chairman Zhou Yaguo, who, on behalf of the Board of Directors, expressed his gratitude to General Manager Xia Songkang. Under his leadership, all Xinya employees have worked as one, giving their all and moving forward hand in hand, staying true to their original aspirations even in the face of adversity. They have demonstrated Xinya’s unwavering determination to forge ahead and its indomitable strength, achieving for the first time an annual sales output exceeding 3 billion yuan and writing a new chapter that will be recorded in Xinya’s history.
At the meeting, General Manager Xia Songkang reviewed the various tasks undertaken in 2020. In 2020, with sales output exceeding 3 billion yuan, Xinya achieved a remarkable feat in its history. Throughout the year, the company repaired 431 vessels of various types and retrofitted 84 ships with desulfurization towers, enduring the challenge of having as many as 45 vessels under repair at its peak. Moreover, the company successfully secured LNG-related contracts, ushering in a strong start to LNG vessel repairs. 2020 was a year filled with a profound sense of fulfillment, pride, and happiness for our employees—a year brimming with positive energy that truly embodied our Xinya family: we share the same destiny, breathe as one, and are bound by hearts that beat as one.
General Manager Xia Songkang outlined his vision for 2021 and the goals we must achieve. We must tighten our grip on prevention and control with meticulous attention to detail, innovate our safety management system, unite our teams around a solid foundation of practical safety measures, steadfastly accelerate improvements in repair quality, continuously enhance the standardization of high‑quality services, steadily advance 6S management, consistently refine cost control, continually expand our range of repair services, strengthen our commitment to integrity, remain unwavering in our dedication to ethical conduct, and further bolster the development of “Xin Culture” to elevate our core competitiveness. 2020 was an extraordinary year in XinYa’s history, marked by tremendous achievements; in 2021, we hope to ride the momentum of the Year of the Ox and soar into the “double-digit” era!
The conference honored outstanding employees of 2020, the second “Most Beautiful XinYa People,” the XinJia Award recipients, top-performing external contractors in the comprehensive performance evaluation, and exemplary site supervisors—among other advanced collectives and individuals. Medals and cash prizes were presented to the award winners. We wish all employees continued enthusiasm for their work in the new year and hope that in 2021 they will strive even harder and reach new heights.
At the conclusion of the meeting, led by the headquarters leadership, all employees jointly sang “Start Over Again,” their hearts filled with strength and their voices resounding with clarity. In the midst of the song, we were filled with fervor and passion; through its melody, we embraced our aspirations for the future and rekindled our fighting spirit.
