To further implement the responsibilities of on-site safety supervisors, standardize on-site safety supervision management, and continuously enhance the safety awareness and professional competence of on-site safety supervisors, the Company’s Safety and Environmental Protection Department organized a special training session for on-site safety supervisors on October 23, 2020. More than 90 on-site safety supervisors from the company’s various contracted construction teams participated in the training, which was delivered by Liu Junbo, Manager of the Company’s Safety and Environmental Protection Department.
During ship repair operations, safety supervision is an extremely important task. Strong professional competence is an essential quality for safety supervisors. This training session primarily focused on safety management theory, with a particular emphasis on explaining the working methods of on-site safety supervisors, their supervisory requirements, and proper fire extinguisher usage techniques.
At the same time, by drawing on recent relevant cases from the production site and applying lessons learned to similar situations, we provided comprehensive support to help trainees master the knowledge and skills required for on-site safety supervision. After the training concluded, all participants underwent practical fire extinguisher operation training and were only permitted to engage in on-site safety supervision duties after successfully passing the examination and obtaining the “On-site Safety Production Supervisor Certificate.”
Safe production is an enduring priority for enterprises, and the effectiveness of implementing and enforcing safety supervision and management directly impacts whether or not production safety incidents occur. Through this safety supervision training, the professional skills and safety awareness of on-site supervisors from all external contractor teams have been enhanced.
Safety supervision is a long and arduous journey; we must fulfill our duties conscientiously and maintain constant vigilance. Only then can we provide strong security safeguards for all of the company’s safety management efforts.
