Integrity Builds Our Business, Hearts Turn to the Party—Innovating for Development, Setting Sail Once More!
— China Xinya’s 2021 Xinjiang Trip

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, in order to strengthen and innovate the development of “Xin Culture” and further enhance the company’s cohesion and execution capabilities, on June 16, the company organized a 2021 Xinjiang Team Building Rally themed “China XinYa: United in Our Hearts for the Party, Building Our Business on Integrity, and Pursuing Innovative Development.” A total of 61 participants, including senior leaders of our company, heads of various departments, outstanding employees, and representatives from external contractor teams, took part in the 2021 Xinjiang Team Building Rally.

Integrity is the foundation of our business, and we remain steadfastly committed to the Party. Under the correct leadership of the company’s Party Committee and headquarters, XinYa has diligently studied and implemented the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, continuously innovating new corporate development concepts. This has further boosted our vitality, strengthened employee appeal and cohesion, and ensured that our enterprise perpetually embodies the “pioneering” spirit, the “innovative” drive, and the “pragmatic” work ethic. As a result, all aspects of our work have achieved comprehensive development—and in 2020, we even ranked first on Clarkson’s Global Ship Repair Companies Ranking! To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the company organized the “China Xinya: Wholeheartedly Dedicated to the Party – Integrity-Driven, Innovation-Focused” 2021 Xinjiang Team Building and Training Program. While touring the magnificent landscapes of our great motherland, employees were able to deeply appreciate the greatness of the Communist Party of China, while also enriching and enlivening the company’s extracurricular cultural life, further boosting employee enthusiasm and creativity.

The team-building trek was conducted via self‑drive tours. Sixteen vehicles set off from Urumqi, Xinjiang, heading north and then looping back to Urumqi, traveling for twelve days in a grand, well‑organized procession—following instructions to the letter, helping one another, and never being late by even a single minute. This fully demonstrated the strong execution capabilities of the Xinya people—and that is the Xinya spirit of teamwork. Whether it was the monotonous highways or the winding, twisting mountain paths, the Xinya team faced long hours behind the wheel without flinching at fatigue, hardship, or danger—this is the bold, fearless spirit of those who dare to push the limits. Along the way, no one shirked responsibility or complained; when difficulties arose, everyone looked out for each other and offered support—this is the Xinya people’s remarkable sense of unity!

Along the way, we’ve weathered countless storms and experienced the changing seasons in a single day. Yet the XinYa team has braved the scorching sun, withstood biting cold winds and torrential rain, scaled towering, perilous mountains, crossed desolate, uninhabited Gobi deserts, and marveled at the ever‑shifting, otherworldly “Devil City” of Yardang landforms—and at the “Five‑Colored Beach,” where trees, rivers, and bizarre rock formations intertwine. We’ve also wound our way through winding mountain roads to reach the idyllic, secluded ancient village of Hemu. At Sayram Lake, we’ve played joyfully along its tranquil, picturesque shores; on the Narati Grassland, we’ve galloped freely across the vast expanse; in the Lobu People’s Village, we’ve tackled off‑road adventures and sandboarding in the Taklamakan Desert; and we’ve journeyed through the southern section of the Duku Highway, shrouded in thick fog. Once we break through the mist, the sun shines brightly—this only fuels our determination to overcome current challenges. As long as we persevere and never give up, we will surely see our own radiant sunshine! The Populus euphratica is a tree that lives for a thousand years without dying, remains immortal for a thousand years, and never decays—even after a thousand years. As the XinYa team traverses vast stretches of Populus euphratica forest, we are confident that, under the wise leadership of the company’s headquarters, we will realize the grand vision of building a century‑long XinYa!

Xinjiang is a vast region, spanning one-sixth of China’s total land area. Within a single day, you can experience vastly different weather and diverse landscapes—traveling through mountain valleys and wide gorges that run parallel to snow-capped peaks; once you push through the dark clouds, you’ll be greeted by the warm rays of the next sun. In the pristine forests, breathe in the fresh air, stretch your limbs and savor the scent of grass as you revel in this fleeting moment of tranquility. Whether traversing the desolate, uninhabited deserts or the boundless, endless grasslands, under the leadership of General Manager Xia, the Xinya team would sometimes gallop across the plains on horseback, sometimes let out joyful screams and laughter—all along echoing the rallying cry, “We are all Xinya people,” a slogan that resonated deep within the hearts of every herder. The occasional startled birds added to the ever‑changing, breathtaking scenery along the way, leaving travelers captivated and longing to linger, unable to help but marvel at the magnificent rivers and mountains of our great motherland!
The XinYa team drives hundreds of kilometers every day, passing through one small town after another. What remains vividly in our memories are the strict checkpoints we encounter along the way. Although these checkpoints added considerable complexity to this team-building exercise, the unwavering dedication and steadfast commitment of the Xinjiang checkpoint personnel deserve to be emulated by all of us at XinYa. Their spirit embodies a heightened awareness of safety, a sense of responsibility for safety, and a deep commitment to their respective roles. We must strengthen our sense of responsibility, keep our duties firmly in mind, shoulder our responsibilities with resolve, and put those responsibilities into action—staying true to our posts, adhering to rigorous standards, focusing on practical implementation, and paying meticulous attention to detail as we fully implement standardized safety management.

The level of service in small towns across Xinjiang varies considerably. During this 14‑day journey through Xinjiang, we truly came to appreciate the importance of service quality. To elevate our high‑quality service standards, Xinya must start with the details—thinking what shipowners think, addressing their urgent concerns, and ensuring that shipowners genuinely feel the warmth of home when they work with our company. General Manager Xia has repeatedly emphasized the principle of “speaking only once at most,” stressing the need to carefully listen to and fully implement shipowners’ project requirements, avoid inefficient communication, pursue efficient management, leverage Xinya’s strong execution capabilities, and further enhance Xinya’s standardized high‑quality services.

6 On the 28th, following the successful conclusion of the self‑driving tour, the company convened its second-quarter regular meeting and dispatch conference in Urumqi, Xinjiang, to study and implement the spirit of “at most one visit.” At the meeting, General Manager Xia Songkang pointed out that the 2021 Xinjiang team-building and training program was launched with thoughtful reflection on how to drive development: pondering the future direction of Xinya to seek guidance; considering how to navigate the major GDP test in the second half of 2021; reflecting on the standardization of “at most one visit” service; exploring the evolution of “Xinya Culture”; and sharing insights and takeaways from the Xinjiang trip.

General Manager Xia reviewed and summarized the key highlights of this year’s first half: the successful overhaul of an LNG vessel marked a solid step forward for Xinya on its journey to becoming a leader in LNG vessel repairs; the 8S management philosophy continued to be effectively implemented; high‑quality services consistently earned the trust and positive word-of‑mouth from shipowners; the elimination of the “five types of inefficiency” proved highly effective; instances of shirking responsibility and passing the buck declined significantly; and efficient communication became even more refined. At the same time, he pointed out existing problems and shortcomings in areas such as 8S management, team collaboration, safety oversight, cost control, and quality assurance, while emphasizing the need to continuously strengthen the innovative development of “Xinya Culture” and accelerate digital transformation and innovation.

2021 The team-building trek in Xinjiang is not only a test of physical endurance and willpower, but also a rigorous exercise in assessing the execution capabilities, cohesive strength, and cultural alignment of XinYa’s core team.
After the successful conclusion of the 14‑day “2021 Xinjiang Journey” self‑drive tour, we welcomed the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. A century of glorious achievements since the Party’s inception—let us set sail on a new journey for a new era! This has been a century in which faith has forged legends, and during this century, countless heroic tales have been written. At Xinya, we will steadfastly follow in the Party’s footsteps, building our business on integrity while keeping our hearts firmly with the Party, and embarking once again on a path of innovative development. We must become more professional, more dedicated, more decisive in execution, more upright in conduct, and more loyal than ever before. Let all of us at Xinya join hands in unity, face challenges head-on, and create new glories for the future of Xinya!
