“The ‘I Add Luster to My Position’ 80s‑Generation Employee Team-Building Event Kicks Off at Qiandao Lake”

From July 8 to 10, the “Adding Brilliance to Our Positions” team-building event for post‑80s employees made its way to the picturesque Qiandao Lake. Led by Assistant General Manager Wang Junting, nearly 40 employees showcased the creativity and vitality, as well as the cohesion and fighting spirit unique to the post‑80s generation. While relaxing both body and mind, they also strengthened their sense of team pride and belonging.

On the afternoon of July 8, the team members arrived safely at the team-building base. Due to rainy weather, this team-building event featured indoor activities. After a warm-up session, the outbound activities officially began. The random team‑building approach gave employees who don’t often interact in their daily work an opportunity to deepen their understanding of one another and build stronger rapport.

Before the official start of the team competition, each team gradually entered a state of collaborative teamwork by choosing team names, crafting slogans, and designing team flags. The competition featured rounds such as “Inspiring the Heart with Drumming,” “Beads Traveling Ten Thousand Miles,” and “Rhythmic Clapping.” During the pre‑competition practice sessions, team members explored various approaches, assigned roles, and refined their strategies through continuous adjustments—gathering valuable experience and enhancing their collaborative efficiency. Throughout the competition, everyone was fully engaged, calm yet focused, offering mutual encouragement and successfully completing all tasks within the allotted time. Although there were differences in overall rankings, as one captain, Shi Keting, put it, every team secured first place in at least one individual event—and in the end, the competition showcased each team’s unique style and distinctive strengths.

The team-building activities brought the members closer together, unleashed the power of the team, and helped everyone gain a deeper understanding of life’s true lessons, such as “actions speak louder than words,” “you must believe in yourself,” and “dare to tap into your own potential.”

This event also included a viewing of the large-scale themed performance “The Spirit of Qian Dao Lake Water,” where participants could experience the unique charm of China’s only water stage firsthand and gain insight into the historical evolution of Qian Dao Lake through its ingeniously crafted, beautifully designed performances.

As General Manager Assistant Wang Juntin put it, this event allowed everyone to unwind amidst their busy workdays; through three days spent together, they came to know one another better and grew even more united. He hopes that once they return to their posts, they will be able to approach their new tasks in a better state of mind.

“Where does the clear water come from? It flows from a living spring,”—such were the words of Song Dynasty lyricist Zhu Xi in his praise of Qiandao Lake. The ever‑flowing, never‑failing waters forever preserve Qiandao Lake’s pristine beauty. As the backbone of our company, those born in the 1980s must also continuously learn, innovate, and strive for progress, injecting inexhaustible momentum into Xinya’s development.
